Coligny Beach Park is the Town’s most popular oceanfront park, at 1 Coligny Circle at the end of Pope Avenue, and it is the public beach hub for stays on the Forest Beach–Coligny streets.
The free lot at 102 Pope Avenue is the one that fills.
Coligny Beach Park sits at 1 Coligny Circle, SC 29928 — end of Pope Avenue off Coligny Circle. The Town lists it as the most popular oceanfront park on the parks index.
Town amenities listed for Coligny: beach access, beach wheelchair, free parking, outdoor showers, public art, seasonal life guards, and seasonal beach rentals — Shore Beach Service chairs and umbrellas on the sand, late March through late October. Ask the attendant, or call 843-785-3494 to set up elsewhere. At a stand, a day is $25 for an umbrella, $18 for a chair, or $46 for one umbrella and two chairs, tax included.

Phone-app peak fees ($3/hr Mon–Fri, $5/hr Sat–Sun, March 1–September 7, 7 am–5 pm at other parks) do not apply at Coligny.
Town beach parks open daily 6 am–10 pm.
Pivot to mid-island Town parks: Driessen, Burkes, or Folly Field. Alder Lane is too small to be Coligny overflow — 22 paid spaces, and the Town lists Coligny at 102 Pope as Alder’s closest overflow, not the reverse. See the live park comparison table and Coligny stretch.
Forest Beach is the neighborhood along South Forest Beach Drive. Stays on these streets use Coligny as the public hub and Alder as the compact valve.

The Breeze trolley for 2026 was fare-free, April 11–Labor Day (September 7), 1 pm–10 pm, to 11 pm Fri–Sat. That 2026 season has ended.
